Who Will Be the Next Reagan?

As I look at the current presidential administration I find myself asking, Who will be the next Ronald Reagan. The Obama administration looks more and more like the Carter administration as they demonstrate one incompetent decision after another. The most depressing thought that I have is the The Senate democratic leadership and the house under the control on Nancy Pelosi, the most intellectually challenged member of congress, is equally incompetent. The political environment in America is ripe for another Ronald Reagan.

Reagan was a man that had the courage of his convictions and could communicate an inspired view of America that made us feel good about who we are. Ronald Reagan was a true leader. We need that kind of leader again. Barack Obama is no leader because true leaders recognize the greatness of America and what she is capable of when the citizenry is allowed the opportunity to achieve. Obama is no Reagan. The Republican party would benefit from recapturing the ideals and vision of Reagan. Conservatism works each and every time that it is tried. Who will be the next Reagan? Who will declare by their leadership that it is morning in America Again?

Can Obama "Transfer Wealth" to the Middle Class

The answer to that question is NO. A transfer of wealth takes place in this country every day and it does not begin in Washington D.C.

The real transfer of wealth in this country begins when a man or woman has a unique idea and, with the entrepreneur spirit that makes America great, creates a business that provides jobs and recirculates money into the economy. This type of wealth transfer (transfer through creation) rewards achievement and hard work. This is the answer to the economic crisis that this country finds itself in.

The real transfer of wealth in this country begins when ordinary, hardworking citizens invest in mutual funds, 401K's, real estate, and the many investment opportunities that this country provides. Transfer through creation. The engine of capitalism is the single greatest creator of wealth in history.

The real transfer of wealth in this country comes when men and women get up every day and go to work and receive compensation in the form of a pay check. Transfer through creation.
The greatest wealth building tool that most Americans have is their income.

The re-distribution policies of President Obama result in little more than a Robin Hood economic policy that robs from achievers and gives to underachievers, and the key word here is robs. A real transfer of wealth is when real wealth is produced, and then the fruits of that production is distributed to those who participate in the endeavor. Re-distribution of wealth just moves wealth from people who have achieved and created something to people who have never created anything. It is an insult to everyone who has ever gotten up at 4:00 AM to go to work to earn an income to support their family and never asked the government for its "help".

The President clearly favors a policy that rewards underachievement and punishes achievement. He is wrong. The only economic policy that will work is to allow the American people to do what they do best; create. The President is setting out to intentionally create an entitlement society because his ideas can not produce on their merits. Anyone with common sense can see that his policies are wrong. The only way he can remain in power is by having the American people dependent on him. As President he has created no jobs, his policies have created no wealth, and the economy is under-performing because his policies have a disruptive effect. It is time for a common sense approach. Get the money out of Washington and back to the people with real tax cuts that reward investment and job creation. In turn, the economy will grow and Washington will benefit from something it has been losing for many months; revenue.

Let Us Call for Freedom Once Again

As we enter into the Fourth of July holiday, I can't help but to reflect on the painting called "The First Prayer in Congress"। This painting shows the founding fathers of this great nation in prayer. Imagine that, the first Congress exercising the right to religious expression that groups like the ACLU have long claimed was not a right afforded to any government entity. One must wonder what men like Samuel Adams, John Adams, and George Washington (all of whom are present in this painting) would say to the ACLU.


As the Fourth of July draws near my prayers once again call out for freedom. Freedom from the policies of a congress and president that seem to draw more from works like Das Capital to create policy than our own Constitution. Freedom from economic oppression that is being placed upon America and her future generations. Freedom from religious oppression that is being gradually introduced to anyone who calls themselves a Christian. Freedom to achieve, and enjoy the results of that achievement rather than have the fruits of our labor taken and given to those who have not earned it.

In a recent speech President Obama said that America is not a Christian Nation, but a nation of citizens. This statement was no less than an out right lie. President Obama should read the great historical documents that bear out a contrary few of this statement. If he is the constitutional scholar that he claims to be, he has read them. The following is an example of those writings:

March 27,1854, a report from Mr. Meacham of the House Committee

"At the time of the adoption of the Constitution and the amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged, not any one sect [denomination]. Any attempt to level and discard all religion would have been viewed with universal indignation. The object was not to substitute Judaism or Mohammedanism, of infidelity [Atheism], but to prevent rivalry among the [Christian] sects to the exclusion of others.

It [Christianity] must be considered as the foundation on which the whole structure rests. Laws will not have permanence or power without the sanction of religious sentiment, -- without a firm belief that there is a Power above us that will reward our virtues and punish our vices.

In this age there can be no substitute for Christianity: that, in its general principles, is the great conservative element on which we must rely for the purity and permanence of free institutions. That was the religion of the founders of the republic, and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants. There is a great and very prevalent error on this subject in the opinion that those who organized this Government did not legislate on religion."

When we allowed the taking of our religious liberties, the door was open for the taking of all of our liberties. These liberties are fundamental to our identity as Americans; an identity that we as a nation must reclaim. We can reclaim those liberties.

Our President can travel the world apologizing for everything under the sun, but we as a people have no need to hold our heads down to anyone. This is the greatest nation in human existence. We work harder, give more, and receive the least amount of credit than any nation on this earth. Our ideals make us great, and that greatness is not dead. Our President can not see this because he does not embrace the characteristics of true greatness, and history will not remember him as being associated with this term.

America, fall in love with the Constitution once again. Embrace the concept of America's role in divine destiny as our founding fathers did, even if as an individual you do not espouse a religious preference. We will once again shine as the city set on a hill that Ronald Reagan envisioned. Morning will come to America Again. God Bless America.
